Think of a chandelier as hanging sculpture. At it's most basic function, it serves to illuminate the space. When installed thoughtfully it can modify the visual scale of the space, serve as a vessel to tie together other details, draw your eye toward architectural details, etc. Chandeliers are multi-faceted, hard working pieces of the design puzzle. I liken a great chandelier to a great earring. It can finish an outfit well, change the shape of your face and highlight the color of your eyes.
